Together with ancestor spirits, Kuy believe in other mother nature spirits which includes that of the monitor lizard (takuat) which they imagine for being symbol of fertility. The Kuy perform ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and request fertility from nature. They'd also take the tail on the lizard to make use of in divination ceremonies.
